Many of us were caught off-guard at today’s Nintendo Direct, in which the company revealed that Xenoblade Chronicles would be ported to the 3DS, but that the game would only run on an upcoming new version of the 3DS that has a more powerful processor and a few extra buttons, as well as an additional analog slider pad. We can expect more games exclusive to the new 3DS, as NeoGAF user zeromcd73 translated a statement from Nintendo’s web page which clarifies that exclusive games are planned, and that old games will not receive graphical or visual improvements.
