Threshold Global Studios is reportedly due to start filming its first feature production, Tetris The Movie, next year. The movie (which was announced a while back) is being described as a sci-fi thriller based on the classic Tetris arcade game and will be filmed in China and other locations.
The film is seen as the first in a trilogy of movies based on
Tetris and is costing around $80 million to make. It will be produced by media entrepreneur Bruno Wu and producer Larry Kasanoff (who also produced the Mortal Kombat film). When asked about the upcoming production, Kasanoff said that the film is “not at all what you think; it will be a cool surprise.”
