The Pokémon Company has just added some serious talent to its ranks. Eric Neustadter spent many years working for Microsoft, where he served as the Architect and Operations Manager for Xbox Live, growing the service to over 39 million members during his tenure. Neustadter announced that he was leaving Microsoft last August after fourteen years with the company, and exactly one year later, he has found another high-profile employer.
Neustadter recently announced via Twitter that he has officially joined The Pokémon Company. No other details were given in his brief announcement post, but a quick look at his
Linkedin profile shows that he’s listed as Vice President of Technology. Here’s how he describes the skills that he brings to the table:
“I design, deliver, and operate complex services with a focus on uptime and meeting customer and developer requirements. I have 14 years of experience in the gaming industry, and over two decades of experience building mission-critical services across multiple industries.”
— Eric Neustadter
The former Xbox Live boss brings years of experience in handling online services, making him a great addition to the Pokémon team. It should be interesting to see what sort of online features The Pokémon Company implements with him at the helm.
Very excited to be joining the team at @Pokemon today!
