During an Apple event in September, Nintendo revealed that they are making an auto-running Mario game for mobile devices. Super Mario Run is set to hit iOS in December (with other platforms to follow at a later date), and today we learned what’s powering the game. According to the official Twitter account for Unity, Super Mario Run is built using the Unity Engine. Unity is popular, especially among smaller developers, because it’s easy to use and there are free versions available. What do you think of Nintendo’s choice of game engine?
