If you grew up in the ’90s there’s a good chance you spent a chunk of your childhood battling thugs on the Streets of Rage. SEGA launched three entries in this popular beat’em up franchise, and they’ve gone on to become gaming classics counted among the best in the genre. It’s been decades since we saw an all-new release in the series, but that drought is coming to an end!
Streets of Rage 4 has just been revealed by Dotemu with a trailer that blends gameplay and cinematic sequences that show off the beautiful new art style. The game’s hand-drawn visuals are courtesy of Lizardcube, developers of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap.
So far we don’t have much information regarding the game’s release, as both the release date and available platforms are currently listed as unknown by Dotemu. We’ll likely learn more in the coming months, but in the meantime, you can check out the reveal trailer above! You can also peruse the official website.
