The incredibly popular farming simulator Stardew Valley is getting an update which adds some new interesting features to the game. The 1.1 version is available now in beta, and fans have been mostly commenting on the new divorce feature. For a hefty price of 50,000 gold, players can now divorce their spouse without even telling them about it. You can file for a divorce in Mayor Lewis’ Manor, then you will be given the until the end of the night before it is made official, in case you change your mind. When the player wakes up the next morning, their partner will no longer be in the house and on the friend list they will be marked as an ex. If you have children, you will keep custody of them since the nursery is in your house.

However, if you follow through with the divorce but then change your mind, there is a way to get back with your ex. By visiting the town’s witch, you can ask her to wipe your ex’s memory of you. This means they won’t remember the marriage or the divorce and you will have to befriend them all over again.

There are a few other elements in Stardew Valley 1.1 including new marriage options, five new farm maps, more locations, dark magic powers, and the ability to gift other characters without your spouse getting jealous.
