Indie sensation Stardew Valley has been a hit as a single-player experience, but fans have been eagerly awaiting the multiplayer update for just over two years now. Last month, developer ConcernedApe indicated that the update was in the bug fixing process and that things were going smoothly. No launch window was given at the time, but ConcernedApe has since issued another update to clarify the timeframe.
The latest tweet from the independent developer confirms that Stardew Valley is still in the bug fixing process, and that it’s smooth sailing. If that continues to be the case (fingers crossed), then we can expect the free multiplayer update to drop in “about a month.” This timeframe is for the PC, Mac, and Linux versions, which will launch first. The Switch version will be the second platform to receive the multiplayer update, followed by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Update on Stardew Valley multiplayer: still making good progress on fixing bugs, if all goes well it should be ready in about a month
