During EA’s E3 presentation today, DICE filled us in on the latest Star Wars Battlefront II news, including an updated Ewok Hunt mode, a squad system, and a dive into the Clone Wars era. The developers at DICE started by acknowledging that they got off to a rough start with the loot box controversy in 2017, but they’re confident moving forward and hope to excite and please fans of the series.

It’s Solo season,” the developer said as he explained what that means for Star Wars Battlefront II. We’ll see the Extraction mode returning as players need to escort shipments on Kessel. Hunt mode, which began with the Ewoks, will be expanded as well. A new squad system will allow players to team up easily in Battlefront, and Star Fighter mode will bring dogfighting with hero ships to players. A large-scale multiplayer sandbox is coming where players can capture command posts and capital ships.

And what’s more, we’ll be diving into a much-requested era of Star Wars history: the Clone Wars! We’ll get to see the planet Geonosis and new heroes including General Grievous, General Obi-Wan Kenobi, Count Dooku, and Anakin Skywalker.

Has DICE earned some of your trust back? Are you looking forward to these updates? Sound off in the comments!
