Though Sony previously stated that all PlayStation VR games would make use of the DualShock 4 controller, this doesn’t seem to be the case after all. Some games, like Job Simulator, need the PlayStation Move controller to be controlled. Since virtual reality is all about immersing ourselves into different worlds, it’s not a strange design choice when games tap into more than just the visual sense, but it’s still a shame that Sony first issued a statement that all games would also be playable with a standard PlayStation 4 controller, only to change that statement later on.

Their current statement is:

“Nearly all PlayStation VR titles will support DualShock 4 controllers, and several games will deliver an enhanced experience that further immerses gamers with the use of peripherals such as Move or the recently announced Aim controller. There will be a limited number of titles that require Move controllers.” — Sony

Do you think it’s a good choice that some PlayStation VR games require the PlayStation Move controller in order to be played, or would you rather have seen that all games were compatible with the DualShock 4 controller? Let us know in the comments below!

Hello everyone! I have been gaming for as long as I can remember. I still feel as enthousiastic about it as when I was a kid, perhaps even more. Though I have fun playing any kind of game, my favorite genre has to be JRPG's. I am also very passionate about Nintendo, I was brought up with their games and they do have a special place in my heart. I am also very passionate about writing, be it stories or articles, and that's why I'll try to do my very best here! P.S. Wario is number 1!
