Last night at The Game Awards, Nintendo shocked all of us with the surprise reveal of Joker from Persona 5 as a DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. No one saw it coming, mostly because Persona 5 isn’t even available on a Nintendo platform, but that could be changing. According to the latest buzz on the internet, Joker’s Smash inclusion is a sign of things to come.

This info comes via Mystic Distance, a translator and writer for Persona Central. In a series of tweets, he indicated that the currently PlayStation-exclusive RPG is on its way to Switch with a new title, which is speculated to be Persona 5 Reloaded. Mystic Distance expects that the official announcement will likely drop next April during Persona Super Live 2019, possibly accompanied by the launch of Joker in Smash.

As usual, we’d like to remind you that this rumor is not officially confirmed by Nintendo or Atlus. That said… it just makes sense. Hopefully, we can expect an announcement in the near future.
