One of Capcom’s most beloved survival-horror classics will soon be given new life for modern audiences. The new and improved Resident Evil 2 will feature much of the Raccoon City adventure that you know and love (and fear), but with a new camera and control style, drastically improved graphics, and some story tweaks. On top of that, it seems Raccoon City has grown in the past 20 years.
While past footage and screenshots have shown off familiar areas like the Raccoon City Police Department, the latest screenshot reveals something brand new. This generation’s Resident Evil 2 will feature a larger Raccoon City than you remember, complete with original locations. Capcom gave us a taste of what we can expect today by revealing the all-new Orphanage area. What secrets does it hold? We’ll find out when the game launches on January 25th!
