Nintendo is planning to release their next console, Nintendo Switch, sometime in March of next year, and today we may have a more exact date. Laura Dale of Let’s Play Video Games has been accurately leaking Nintendo Switch details for weeks now, and according to a trusted source of hers, Nintendo is currently planning to release Nintendo Switch in PAL regions on March 17th, 2017.
This proposed release date would mean Nintendo Switch is launching on the Friday exactly two weeks before Nintendo closes its books for the fiscal year. The console may release a few days earlier in Japan, but it’s expected to launch around the world the same week.
Obviously this information is not officially confirmed by Nintendo at this time (we’ll have to wait until January 12th for the official announcement), but Dale’s source is a Nintendo employee who previously tipped her off to when the Switch reveal would take place, the content of the reveal, Switch’s use of cartridges, and more.
Being told March 17th is currently planned Switch launch day in PAL, will release worldwide that same week but not same date all regions.
