Blizzard’s immensely popular shooter, Overwatch, is quickly approaching its second anniversary. We’ve been hearing all kinds of rumors and rumblings about planned celebrations, but now we’ve finally got some official news! Blizzard took to the official Overwatch Twitter account today to share the first details about the upcoming anniversary event, including its start date.

Overwatch‘s second anniversary event kicks off in just over a week on Tuesday, May 22nd. During the event, you’ll have the chance to catch up on any past limited time only cosmetics you’ve missed out on. Seasonal Brawls are back too, so you can enjoy your favorite game modes from fun events in the past.

In addition to all of the returning content, the Anniversary 2018 event will bring new skins for all characters as well as some new emotes, including dance emotes for Doomfist, Moira, and Brigitte. In total, 50 new cosmetic items will be added, including eight Legendary skins and three Epic-rarity skins. We’re also getting a new Deathmatch map called Petra and new Competitive Mode for Deathmatch.

All players will receive a free loot box guaranteed to contain a Legendary item during the event. Buying 50 loot boxes will guarantee you a second Legendary item, if you can afford all of that. You can check out the Anniversary 2018 announcement trailer below!
