Back in March we got the exciting news that Okami HD is officially coming to Nintendo Switch. The beloved Capcom game will be available worldwide on August 9th when it makes its way to a Nintendo platform for the first time in a decade. So far Capcom has only confirmed that the game is coming to eShop as a digital release, but if you’re holding out hope for a physical release at retail, there might be a chance.

Capcom’s online store shows that Okami is getting a physical release in Japan, complete with extras like the game’s soundtrack. This doesn’t guarantee that the West will get a physical release as well (Capcom has given no indication of this yet), but if the Japanese version supports the English language, then you should be able to import it. Thankfully, Switch isn’t region locked like Nintendo’s previous consoles.
