Earlier today, Nintendo announced that Splatoon has eclipsed 1 million sales in Japan. Nintendo’s new IP has been selling well all over, as a sales report shows that it has sold another 280,000 copies in France, making it the second best-selling Wii U game in that region.

Other solid numbers include 220,000 sales of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (which just launched in October), as well as 200,000 packs of Amiibo cards to accompany the game. Super Mario Maker has sold 145,000 copies since launch in September, Nintendo Presents: New Style Boutique 2 – Fashion Forward has sold over 100,000 units in less than a month, and Xenoblade Chronicles X has sold over 40,000 units in its first two weeks.
