Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima recently announced some major changes to Nintendo’s corporate structure, including the formation of an Audit and Supervisory Committee. With this restructure planned to go into effect on June 29th, Nintendo has drafted new Articles of Incorporation that reflect the changes.

Nintendo has released a document that compares the old and new Articles of Incorporation side by side, highlighting the changes. While most of the changes have to deal with the new corporate structure, Nintendo has also changed their “General Provisions” to include “Development, manufacturing and sale of medical devices and health devices,” “Development, manufacturing and sale of computer software,” and “Licensing of intellectual property rights.” Nintendo didn’t give any specifics, but expanding into other business has been a talking point for the company for months now, and these changes show that Nintendo is taking steps to make that talk reality.
