Pokémon GO has received a significant boost from its first live event, Pokémon GO Fest in Chicago. Trainers have unlocked legendary Pokémon for all GO players, and Lugia and Articuno are the first legendaries players have been able to get their hands on, with both Zapdos and Moltres promised to be on the way.

Both Lugia and Articuno can now be found in raid battles throughout the world if you have the skill to capture them. Niantic has also said that Zapdos and Moltres will be on the way soon and that the reason Articuno is the first of the legendary birds to be released is because Team Mystic caught more Pokémon in total during Pokémon GO Fest than Team Instinct and Team Valor.

Will you be going out to join in on raid battles since these awesome beasts have been let out into the wild? When do you think Moltres and Zapdos will be unleashed? Let us know in the comments below, and share your experiences with legendary Pokémon!

Our Verdict

Eric Zavinski
Hey all! I've been a gamer since I was three. I'm one of those people with gaming so ingrained in them that watching my father play Super Mario 64 is actually my first memory I can recall. I love writing too! I'm writing an original fantasy series that takes place in another universe; it may take some inspiration from some of my favorite franchises. I've been a journalist for a few years, have worked on local and national teams, and have garnered experience assigning stories, editing, writing, interviewing, hosting a television series, running a YouTube channel, and doing other stuff that's more fun to mention in conversation. Bios can drag on. Anyway, I'm super stoked to be a part of the Gamnesia team! Thanks for having me!
