We already knew that Hyrule Warriors was gaining Amiibo support, but now we’ve learned just what its impact will be on the game. By using the Link Amiibo with the game, Link gains the Spinner from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess as a weapon.

Additionally, the Direct revealed that every Amiibo compatible with
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will function with Hyrule Warriors; other characters will reward you with random materials, rupees, or weapons. Amiibo functionality will be introduced through a free software update when the Twilight Princess DLC launches later this month.
