Blizzard Entertainment and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation are teaming up to fight breast cancer. Together, they have released a new charity skin for Overwatch‘s Mercy, the resident healer and guardian angel. Simply dubbed “Pink Mercy,” this new costume sees the doctor decked out in pink ribbons, the international symbol of breast cancer awareness.

This skin is currently for sale in-game and online for $14.99. While the price tag might seem steep, one hundred percent of the proceeds goes to BCRF in support of their goal of eradicating breast cancer for good. Additionally, players can earn special sprays and icons by simply playing Overwatch or watching charity streams with their Blizzard-linked Twitch accounts. For those who want to show support in real life, or simply do not own Overwatch, Pink Mercy t-shirts are available for $30 on Blizzard’s online store.

Over 40,000 people were estimated to have died from breast cancer last year alone, and the BCRF needs as much help as it can get to make those numbers dwindle. Pink Mercy will be available until May 21st, so make a donation while you still can. With your help, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation can make sure that, in the future, heroes never die.

Our Verdict

Hi, I'm Mark. I'm like Statler and Waldorf if they were one person, except cuter. I'm an aspiring author, a Nintendo fanboy, and a recovering Sonic fanboy. But you can never really recover from that. I main Lucina in Smash Bros, and I think that says more about me than anything else can.
