Rockstar Games may be coming under heavy fire in the coming days after it was announced today that they would be pushing back the PC release date of Grand Theft Auto V to April 14th, 2015. This is the second time the PC version of the game has been delayed, with the original release date being pushed from January to March 24, and now to April.
Rockstar cited needing more time to ensure that the PC version of the game was “as polished as possible” and that the company wanted to “make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC.” To make amends, they’re giving $200,000 in in-game cash to anyone who pre-ordered the PC version. They also ask PC gamers to assist them in rooting out the inevitable “teething issues” that will most likely arise when the game hits the new platform.
On the plus side, the long-awaited Heists for the game are still on track to be released on March 10th. Several screenshots from the extra missions have been posted, showing off turret-toting pickup trucks, a night-time ship raid, and much more.
