Yesterday’s fierce match-up between four of Fire Emblem‘s greatest was a close one, and it had a great turnout, with over 500 votes cast! With 178 votes, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn from the Wii era proved to be the ultimate winner and flag-bearer for the Fire Emblem franchise going forward. In just about a week, we’ll see how it fares against the likes of Pokémon and Ni no Kuni, but today we have another poll for you, and another champion to declare!

Turning our eyes to a more eclectic bracket, we can see that today’s games focus on putting players right into the action, no turn-based battles necessary. Two of them, Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2, come from the same Disney/Square Enix series that is still (after over a decade) waiting for an entry without a decimal point, but beloved nevertheless. Our third competitor, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, is less about story than any of the others in this group, but it makes up for it with a ton of action in its exciting battles against larger-than-life monsters, as the title might suggest. Phantasy Star Online rounds out our bracket with unique standing as a representative from SEGA—and from the Dreamcast at that!

To vote, simply use the poll included above, but be quick! Match-ups in this round only last a day and there’s no going back, so once the poll closes, it’s closed for good. Which one of these action titles will run circles around the others? Be sure to check back tomorrow to find out, and don’t forget to visit the tournament’s hub page, where you can find the complete list of contenders, as well as up-to-date standings.

The combatants for the next match-up are: Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VII, and Final Fantasy X.

A reminder to readers and votes: Please be civil with one another. This tournament is for everyone’s enjoyment, and we want it to stay fun for all who choose to be involved, no matter which games they support. Those who attack others in the comments will be temporarily banned and, if they continue to do so, will removed indefinitely. We really do not want to do this, so please keep it rated E (or E10), and thanks for your enthusiasm!
