With the conclusion of yesterday’s bout, we’re now officially halfway through Round 2! Mother 3 took the match-up yesterday, ending up with slightly under half of the votes cast. With this victory, it will move on to face Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver for a shot at making it into the final two! Though this match-up is sure to make many of you excited, we still have two more fights to go before we get there. Without further ado, let’s look at today’s match!

Today’s match-up sees the return of what could easily be considered some of the best RPG franchises of all-time. Persona 4 Golden is one of the best RPGs on the PlayStation Vita (if not one of the best Vita games in general), while the same could be said about Golden Sun and the Game Boy Advance. Final Fantasy VI can be found near the top of many “Best Final Fantasy game” lists, and Chrono Trigger is often regarded as one of the best RPGs ever made across all systems. We’ve got some heavy-hitters in this round, and it’ll certainly be interesting to see which one eventually takes it!

To vote, simply use the poll included above, but be quick! Match-ups in this round only last a day and there’s no going back, so once the poll closes, it’s closed for good. Which game will make it into the top 4? Be sure to check back tomorrow to find out, and don’t forget to visit the tournament’s hub page, where you can find the complete list of contenders, as well as up-to-date standings.

The combatants for the next match-up are: Fallout 3, Tales of Symphonia, The World Ends With You, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

A reminder to readers and voters: Please be civil with one another. This tournament is for everyone’s enjoyment, and we want it to stay fun for all who choose to be involved, no matter which games they support. Those who attack others in the comments will be temporarily banned and, if they continue to do so, will removed indefinitely. We really do not want to do this, so please keep it rated E (or E10), and thanks for your enthusiasm!
