Tomonobu Itagaki’s long-awaited shooter Devil’s Third launched in North America today after a tricky development period. However, unless you were actively following the Wii U exclusive, this might have passed you up, as the launch wasn’t highly publicized. That’s right, not even Nintendo has been actively promoting it, instead opting to give it the silent treatment.
Nintendo’s social media hasn’t mentioned it at all, and there haven’t been recent reviews because Nintendo didn’t send out review copies. Nintendo even shoved
Devil’s Third to the bottom of its weekly releases list—even below the Nintendo 3DS themes—despite being the only retail title on there! With as much critical panning as Devil’s Third has received, though, it really isn’t that surprising that Nintendo has already put the game out to pasture.
