Devil’s Third, the upcoming action game from Valhalla Game Studios and Tomonobu Itagaki, has been drawing a lot of scrutiny. Reports surfaced that Nintendo of America had dropped the game due to poor quality, but that turned out not to be the case. However, early hands-on previews of the game have been highly critical—something Itagaki blames on the game reviewers themselves.

With the game just days from launching in Europe, the embargo has lifted, and full reviews of the game are coming out. The results are once again negative, with reviewers criticizing the controls, combat, visuals, story, and more.
Devil’s Third is currently averaging a score of 39/100 based on 16 reviews at Metacritic, and only one review has been positive. You can check out a roundup of reviews from some of the larger publications below.

GameSpot – 3 / 10

Thanks to Nintendo Everything for rounding these up.
