Two new playable fighters were recently announced for Fire Emblem Warriors, both hailing from Fire Emblem Awakening: Cordelia, the dedicated Pegasus knight, and the female version of master tactician Robin. Now we’ve gotten a look at these two characters in action on the battlefield, from Cordelia’s sweeping lance movements and aerial grace to Robin’s swift and powerful Thunder magic.

As you can see in the below trailer, Cordelia looks like she will shake things up compared to the other fighters we have seen take the fight to the enemy in Fire Emblem Warriors so far. In addition to her lance, she has a move that calls a horde of other Pegasi to her aid in battle. One of her victory poses looks just like her official art from Awakening, which is just an awesome touch.

Meanwhile, female Robin looks to be basically the same as her male counterpart: mainly focused on magical attacks, with her special moves seeing the addition of the electrified Levin Sword. It will be interesting to see if there’s any real difference between the two Robins, as well as what Koei Tecmo’s justification is for including both versions. Is this a simple skin change, or is there some deeper, story-based reason behind the pair’s presence? We’ll have to wait for more information to find out.

What do you think about Cordelia and female Robin’s inclusion in Warriors? What other representatives from Awakening and the franchise as a whole would you like to see appear? The game launches in little over a month on September 28th, so who do you think will be revealed before then? Let us know in the comments below!

Hey all! I've been a gamer since I was three. I'm one of those people with gaming so ingrained in them that watching my father play Super Mario 64 is actually my first memory I can recall. I love writing too! I'm writing an original fantasy series that takes place in another universe; it may take some inspiration from some of my favorite franchises. I've been a journalist for a few years, have worked on local and national teams, and have garnered experience assigning stories, editing, writing, interviewing, hosting a television series, running a YouTube channel, and doing other stuff that's more fun to mention in conversation. Bios can drag on. Anyway, I'm super stoked to be a part of the Gamnesia team! Thanks for having me!
