Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be launching in just a few short weeks, and Infinity Ward just released the “gameplay launch” trailer. Unfortunately, this is a bit of a misnomer, as the trailer contains very little gameplay and it is certainly not time for launch yet. But it does serve the purpose of reminding us that there is a beta event this weekend.

The trailer is a much more condensed version of the story trailer that came out almost exactly one month ago.
The story trailer in question is actually kind of fantastic, evoking the feelings of a classic sci-fi television show, and you should definitely go watch it instead. However, as mentioned, this trailer does remind fans that there is a closed Beta this weekend for all versions of Infinite Warfare, provided you have preordered the full game.

While the preorder stipulation might bum some of you out, it is important to remember that last year’s
Call of Duty: Black Ops III‘s beta surprised everyone by switching to an open format at the last second, allowing anyone to play. There is nothing indicating Infinite Warfare‘s beta will get the same treatment, but it is definitely in the realm of possibility.
