Over the past two years, Overwatch has been one of the most popular games in the world, especially in the realm of eSports. The team-based hero shooter is available on most modern platforms, but not Nintendo Switch. Blizzard has previously stated that porting it to Switch would be a challenge, although they remain open-minded.
With the announcement that
Diablo III is coming to Switch, Blizzard has commented on the possibility once again, this time with a slightly more optimistic tone. Speaking with GameSpot, Blizzard senior producer Pete Stilwell indicated that a Switch port for Overwatch is something that could still happen.
“Anything is within the realm of possibility. Our team was given the task to work on this. If [Overwatch developer] Team 4 picks up that endeavour, that’s on them. As of right now Diablo is our only focus on Switch. Yes, it is feasible.”

It doesn’t sound like anything is in the works right now, but Blizzard believes
Overwatch on Switch can be managed on a technical level, and there’s certainly interest from the fans. In the meantime, the free-to-play hero shooter Paladins recently launched on Switch, giving fans an alternative to Overwatch. Your move, Blizzard!
