Bethesda’s E3 conference started off with a bang with the announcement of Quake Champions, a new first-person shooter from Id Software. The game was announced by Tim Willits, the original co-designer of Quake. Quake Champions will be an arena-style first-person shooter that is designed to be accessible at all skill levels. Furthermore, Willits promises that the game will feature plenty of “unique and badass characters.” The game will be available on PC and run at 120 fps.
The game is specifically designed for eSports, and Bethesda plans on expanding tournaments beyond just Quakecon in August. More information on Quake Champions will come in August during Quakecon.
