Following the immensely popular Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Nintendo opted to create an Amiibo card-focused spin-off on 3DS called Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. It’s a bit of a departure from the standard Animal Crossing style, but it’s proving to be very successful in its own right. According to Nintendo’s latest earnings report, Happy Home Designer has already sold over 2 million copies worldwide. It launched in Japan in July, but it has only been available in the West for a few weeks, so that’s a pretty impressive start.
