Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival Won't Feature Any Kind of Online Play

Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, which launches next month, will not feature online play at all. This is what a representative told GameXplain after they had a chance to play the game. Amiibo Festival is a virtual boardgame, heavily reminiscent of the Mario Party series, but with an Animal Crossing theme instead. As the title suggests, this title heavily focuses on Amiibo integration as core mechanic. It is rather unfortunate that we won’t get an online mode – it could have been fun to play this game with people who live far away.
