Computer science student Erik Ross has recreated the first level from Super Mario 64 through the Unity game engine. In addition to giving Bob-omb Battlefield an HD makeover, he also removed certain items like the red coins and the Wing Cap and replaced them with springs and coin blocks. Luckily, gamers hoping to try out this level for themselves can play it on their web browser or download it directly to their computer. Ross does not plan on creating any more levels from Super Mario 64, but he does encourage people to use the project for any purpose they like, except selling it for profit.
