The Nintendo Switch is a fantastic piece of hardware. It offers the user quite a few different ways to play games. However, the console is a bit limited when it comes to controller options (at least compared to Nintendo’s last two consoles): just the Pro Controller and the Joy-Cons. But one company is looking to change that.
Hardware manufacturer 8Bitdo has been making controllers for quite some time now. All of their products are new interpretations on classic controllers, such as the
N64 and NES. At this year’s E3, they revealed two new controllers specifically aimed to work with the Switch: the SNES30 Pro, an SNES style controller with added functionality such as analogue sticks, and the NES30, a wireless fight stick with a classic look. The SNES30 Pro will be available in both SNES and Super Famicom styles, and it will have rumble, motion controls, player indicator lights, and USB-C charging ports.
Both of the new controllers connect via Bluetooth and are compatible with PCs as well as mobile devices. The SNES30 Pro is slated to release this fall, whereas the NES30 is expected within the next couple of months.
Will you be picking up any of these new controllers? Let us know!
